Amber joined our team as a PADI dive instructor in April 2019. She previously worked for a dive centre in Zanzibar and has gained coral reef restoration experience in Kenya. She also has a bachelor degree in Cultural Anthropology and Development Studies, and a Masters in Political Economy. As Dive Officer, she is responsible for all of our diving operations and training. Our holistic approach to conservation initially attracted her to the role in which she is keen to combine her passion for diving with a desire to contribute towards a better world.
Manjo
Boat Captain

Manjo is a local from the village of Ifaty and lives with his family just opposite the Reef Doctor camp. He has been with the team since 2009 and, alongside the dive officer, is in charge of the projects boats, and engine operations and maintenance. His exceptional knowledge of the ocean and the Bay of Ranobe ensures the safety of all diving operations.

Bostata is also from the village of Ifaty and joined us in 2015 as a second boat captain. He captains all of our science and dive training boat trips.
